That picture totally reminds me of my wife. Once, I had a Scotch sitting next to me and she thought it was ginger ale or something and took a big mouthful. She was gasping for air and I was laughing my head off. :-)

Scotch is my favorite when I can afford. I usually stick with Bourbons but I love scotch. When we go to my Dad's for Thanksgiving my brother and I usually put a gallon of scotch away over the weekend. Good times, good times.
GI - holy crap! A gallon of Scotch??? I'm with you Brent. That bottle of 12 Year Pulteney lasted my buddy and I a whole week on vacation and I still have about 1/3 bottle left.
Brad, if I ever spent big money on some of these scotches, you can bet it would last for a long time.

Despite spending my late teens to mid 20s in a perpetual stupor, yes I do. I only really drink over Thanksgiving and it is not like I am pounding scotch I am have a drink an hour until I go to sleep so it is gradual and I get that great buzz going.
Seriously, tho....I'm feelin' ya, Brent. Much as I like hanging out with the guys, it doesn't compare to hangin' with my wife. She's the most awesome person I know and just being in the same room with her makes me giddy.

My Computer at work crashed so I am using my old one for now, and I didn't have the link to your new site, but did have inProgress... So I click the link on the Blogroll and you aren't there. Well your old site was... ;)
I think with the kids Gone she would have time for that.... ;)
I don't know if you know this, but it is a crime for anyone to drink some of that "twelve-year-old single malt" while holding their nose. A CRIME, I say! She seriously needs some practice in nosing and tasting. Perhaps next time you could add a dab of water to your dram and have her try it that way. People with a weak palate somehow find that more..."bearable."
But, man, if WE ever hook up, we downing the drams neat!
...personally, I think it is a waste to put away a whole gallon of Scotch in a single weekend--unless you've got 14 siblings and their spouses and everybody is over 21.
Scotch isn't liquor or whiskey or gin or vodka or tequilla or bourbon. Heck, a brain tumor or a Vulcan will go down easier.
But Scotch...is Scotch. It sets my esophagus on fire and then explodes the instant it hits my stomach.
And that's just a sip.
But, oh, that's good stuff. Puts me out like a light, which is what got me started on the stuff in the first place.
We love Rostels too! Glad you guys are enjoying your kid free week. I also like your new blog. You are just too cool!
