The nice thing about Southern Oregon is the rain total. we only get 16-18 inches a year down here. So by the end of April, we don't see rain again till October. But we sure could use some right now to clean up this crappy air.

Of course in 2 days, I'll be hanging with you guys in cleaner air :)

If you haven't had a chance to skim "Bring the Rain"'s blog today (doubtful with your full schedule for sure), you might find Angie's conversation with her daughter Kate relevant and entertaining (re: your use of the 'c' word). She might actually have more to worry about from a 'pastor' than the two year old =}.

Never fear though, I was 'nailed' later too!

It was a great inspiring read and definitely thought provoking. She certainly has a knack for doing that.

Thanks for reminding me to check that our D. I've been there before, but haven't for a while.

I do see how her post could relate to me :)

By the way, Tammy and I will be staying with Pete and Brandi for a week in February. we are headed to a conference out there and they opened their house to us. Very cool. It will be fun to get to know them.

    DUDE! That is bad.

Mother Nature threw some odd clouds our way. Or maybe it was ET? ;-)

We've had some pretty wicked storms the last few nights too. Screens have been ripped off of houses, our backyard flooded.... did I say wicked?

Brandy's last blog post...Weekend update full of pictures and a prayer group post. How’s that for a lengthy title!

eeek- here, it's the drought .. I'm up at Lake Lanier in North Georgia, the water is so low, it's sad. Thankfully, my brother-in-law's dock is still wet ... so we're able to get out of the inlet and ski, jetski, and boat and have fun. Others have docks up on the mud banks. The water is REALLY low.

It's just hot here... nasty hot. Like not even fun to be naked hot. And *that* is hot!

The smoke pic is super cool though, although I dont think I am supposed to think it is neat... but I do. ARGHGHGH It's the Heat man, the HEAT IS FRYING MY BRAIN :-P

We had a black as night storm here just an hour ago. I tried to convince the kids it was bedtime again...w/ no avail.

Our Summer has been mild. Only a few humid days. Nice actually. I'm dreading the snow already. =(

Stifling heat down here in the dirty south. 97 today with about a gazillion percent humidity.

(Right Now) I wish I lived where Adam does.

I never knew about the 'fire' season. Here in Maryland we get the intermittent, torrential thunder-n-lighting storm with an occasional tornado thrown in.

It sounds like there has been interesting weather everywhere. But all of you in the south, be careful.

We get hot here. We have over 30 days a Summer in the 100's, but we no humidity, so it is dry heat. I cannot stand the humidity. Even at 55 degrees I sweat.

We had an earthquake, a many hot and humid days here in San Diego,
July and early August are always bad.

I was raised in Oregon and I ABSOLUTELY love Late August and September there. I miss it desperately. Also late October when the wood burning stoves start up.

Is Tam looking for a roommate?

San Diego is usually beautiful all around. Since I work outside it's awesome!!

Heidi, I big time miss Southern Cal. I miss earthquakes too. I was down there for the big Whittier quake. I was about 10 minutes away, so that was exciting :)

Okay, I'm late getting back here, but am I supposed to know "Pete and Brandi"? I think I read somewhere a while back you were going to Nashville, so is that where they are (like Angie)? Are they blogging friends or other (apologies to you two if I should know you from here)?

I lived in Nashville 4th to 5th grade. My dad taught at David Lipscomb College, and preached at Belmont Church (before Amy Grant made it famous -- her older sister was one of my best friends in 5th grade though =). It is a beautiful place--we had our first ever 'White Christmas' there. Fall is the best though, and yes, summers are hot and humid, so stay away then for sure.

So, are you going to begin your 'Christian Music' career there? You do have all the gifted instrumentalists and vocalists necessary within your own family, don't you?

I'm sure all your blogging fans will get you off to a good start too =}!

Day 25 for me (so how are you doing with your '30 days'?),

D, Pete is the Pastor in Angie's story. The one they were going to meet at the pool. Tammy and Brandi (Pete's wife) have become great friends, so they opened up their house to us when we go out there.

I am anxious to visit. Tammy lived in Knoxville and said it is one of the best places she's ever lived. She loved Tennessee. I have heard of Belmont Church. That's really neat that you were a part of those places.

Music career? I am more than satisfied with my "career" right now. I am sure God will continue to open doors, but our trip South is purley for relationship and community :)

Blogging fans? I'm just grateful to have the readers I have.

My 30 days have been good. I was planning to write about it when I am done. Not exactly what I'd hoped or planned for, but that usually is God's way. He's more interested in his way than ours. I am good with that.

"I cannot stand the humidity. Even at 55 degrees I sweat."

I went on a mission trip with the senior high and we were building a wheelchair ramp outside in North Carolina in July in 95% humidity. After digging post holes for a couple of hours (probably 20min but it felt like hours) we took a water break and I asked, "Hey, you wanna see something really gross?" Then I took off the bandana I had on my head to keep the sweat out of my eyes and wrung it out like a dishrag. My sweat streamed to the ground. It was soaking wet. I drank like a dozen bottles of water and gaterade each day and never had to take a potty break.

Scott, it is nice here isn't it :)

Ric, I've been around that before. I am a sweater, so humidity is not nice to me.
